Three diverse young men welcome a mother and two daughters outside Hope Church Munich

We are family

We believe the church is meant to be awesome, Biblical, relevant, influential and a true representation of Jesus Christ and the family of God.

We believe in God who created this wonderful world and gave us the gift of His Son Jesus. We believe Jesus died for us, was brought to life again, and today offers us forgiveness, eternal life and abundant life here on earth.

We believe in you and believe that God has a plan and purpose for your life. Discovering Him and pursuing your destiny is the most amazing, most worthwhile, most adventurous thing you could ever do.

Mission

To understand mission, we need to understand the question ‘Why?’
‘Why are we here?’

As individuals and as a church, we believe the reason we are here (i.e. our mission) is to:

  • glorify God and enjoy Him forever through our individual relationships with Him,
  • fulfil the great commandment ‘the law of love’ (love God and love people,
  • fulfil the great commission in reaching the lost and in making disciples,
  • bring heaven to earth through the supernatural empowerment of God in our lives,
  • bring hope and life to society in being Kingdom-carriers of His goodness.

Vision

Our vision is to become a true reflection of the family of God.

Our vision is to become a true reflection of the family of God where:

  • people from every nation and culture belong, are accepted and can grow in their faith,
  • we reach out to include others (God places the lonely in families),
  • spiritual fathers and mothers raise spiritual sons and daughters (through discipleship and fellowship) who then in turn become spiritual fathers and mothers,
  • people can experience the love of God the Father in practical and supernatural ways,
  • we encourage others in their potential, gifting and God-given dreams and for them to bring the love of God into  their personal areas of influence, the city of Munich and our surrounding region,
  • people find hope and life.

Meet the Hope Church Leadership Team

Martin & Heike Spreer

Martin and Heike are the lead pastors at Hope Church Munich. They have 5 children together and, following God’s call, came to Munich in August 2023 and were prayed into their new assignment. Martin has previously pastored in Duisburg for over 17 years. Heike ministers mainly in the prophetic area (she has been leading various schools of prophecy for over 8 years).
Together, their common passion is to support the church in entering fully into the finished work of the cross, shining God’s light to spread and build His Kingdom – in Munich and beyond.

What we believe

  1. We believe that God is passionately in love with people.
  2. We believe that God wants everyone to experience and enjoy a personal relationship with Him.
  3. We believe that sin and human selfishness have separated us from God, and have caused us to be far less than that which we were meant to be.
  4. We believe in the existence of a devil and demonic forces who are sworn enemies of the human race and of all that is good and right.
  5. We believe that all men and women need to be rescued.
  6. We believe that God sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to rescue us through His sacrificial death on a cross in Jerusalem.
  7. We believe that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead on the third day, and lives today.
  8. We believe in one God that exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
  9. We believe that there is a life after this one. There are two destinations, Heaven or Hell.
  10. We believe that the choice we make now concerning Jesus Christ affects the final outcome of where we spend eternity.
  11. We believe that God wants to heal, bless and transform our lives by His supernatural power so that we can in turn help others.
  12. We believe that God does not discriminate against people, and that He offers life to all and any that will believe in Him.
  13. We believe that He has revealed His wisdom and ways to us through an infallible book known as the BIBLE. It is our guide on all matters.
  14. We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to this earth to bring His church back to Himself.
  15. We believe that there will be a final day of judgement where the small and the great will be called to account for their lives.
  16. We believe that God created each person for a unique purpose and destiny.
  17. We believe that God has charged us with the responsibility to communicate His love and truth to all whom we meet.
  18. We believe that God has charged us with social responsibility. We are to live generous lives, doing all that we can to help others.
