We are family
We believe the church is meant to be awesome, Biblical, relevant, influential and a true representation of Jesus Christ and the family of God.
Mission & vision
Meet the team
We believe in God who created this wonderful world and gave us the gift of His Son Jesus. We believe Jesus died for us, was brought to life again, and today offers us forgiveness, eternal life and abundant life here on earth.
We believe in you and believe that God has a plan and purpose for your life. Discovering Him and pursuing your destiny is the most amazing, most worthwhile, most adventurous thing you could ever do.
Mission
To understand mission, we need to understand the question ‘Why?’
‘Why are we here?’
As individuals and as a church, we believe the reason we are here (i.e. our mission) is to:
- glorify God and enjoy Him forever through our individual relationships with Him,
- fulfil the great commandment – ‘the law of love’ (love God and love people,
- fulfil the great commission in reaching the lost and in making disciples,
- bring heaven to earth through the supernatural empowerment of God in our lives,
- bring hope and life to society in being Kingdom-carriers of His goodness.
Vision
Our vision is to become a true reflection of the family of God.
Our vision is to become a true reflection of the family of God where:
- people from every nation and culture belong, are accepted and can grow in their faith,
- we reach out to include others (God places the lonely in families),
- spiritual fathers and mothers raise spiritual sons and daughters (through discipleship and fellowship) who then in turn become spiritual fathers and mothers,
- people can experience the love of God the Father in practical and supernatural ways,
- we encourage others in their potential, gifting and God-given dreams and for them to bring the love of God into their personal areas of influence, the city of Munich and our surrounding region,
- people find hope and life.

“For us, Hope Church has been a constant source of support, hope and encouragement. We were truly welcomed in like family, and the community has rallied around us countless times, from something as simple as storing furniture during a move to celebrating a life-changing commitment in baptism.”

“Hope church has been an immense blessing to us. When we first walked into the church after arriving in Munich, we knew instantly this was the place God had in store for us.
The presence of God is felt in the praise and worship and during the preaching of the Word of God, which is done with grace and truth.
Vision Sundays and commitment courses are held to explain the church’s vision and ministry with great transparency. We’ve benefitted a lot from the workshops and connect groups and the church has a great environment for kids of all ages.
In the church we are all one big, blessed family. The church in a nutshell is home away from home.”

“Hope Church for us has been our family since we moved to Munich. After the move, it was tough for us all to adjust and find friends and a church where we felt we belonged. We still remember our first visit to Hope Church which resulted in a play date invitation and ultimately finding fabulous friends and our spiritual home. The girls love their kids’ ministry and have grown so much in their faith thanks to the dedication and encouragement of the kids’ team.
For us church is about living out scripture together both in practical and spiritual ways – our church is such a place.”

“At Hope Church I can experience what it means to be a church family. I especially value how we mutually support each other in prayer. Being there for one another with all our diversity in character and giftings shows me how God envisages the Church. I am grateful to be able to share life and faith with these people.”

“For me, Hope Church means having a home in which I feel comfortable and secure. It’s a place where I can serve people with the gifts and talents that God gave me. 😊”

Meet the Hope Church Leadership Team

Martin & Heike Spreer
Martin and Heike are the lead pastors at Hope Church Munich. They have 5 children together and, following God’s call, came to Munich in August 2023 and were prayed into their new assignment. Martin has previously pastored in Duisburg for over 17 years. Heike ministers mainly in the prophetic area (she has been leading various schools of prophecy for over 8 years).
Together, their common passion is to support the church in entering fully into the finished work of the cross, shining God’s light to spread and build His Kingdom – in Munich and beyond.

Jason McAllister
Jason has been part of the church since the very beginning and has been involved in the children’s work for much of that time. As our children’s pastor, he has a contagious passion to see children grow deeper in their relationship with God through fun- and faith-filled ways! Jason is married to Dani and they have two daughters.
Jennie Humphreys
Jennie is our church administrator (since 2016) and is the communication hub of all church life within Hope Church in Munich. In addition, she is an important part of our pastoral team and her heart is to see people integrated into the body of Christ and flourish in all that they do. Jennie is married to Mark and they have two children.
